The illustrations are done!!!!!!!
I finally finished the illustrations for my first children's book! I'm so excited! I will have them scanned and posted sometime next week. I think they look great. The last time my client wanted to have a review, he was thrilled as well. Hopefully it won't be too long before you all see my little project being sold to the public! Cross your fingers and share my excitement!
Book illustrations! 2
Hello everyone!
I'm getting closer to the end of this assignment. I have 6 illustrations done and am about to start 7 and 8. I can't wait to show everyone!
Sorry it's been so long!!!!! :-D
Hi everyone! (Everyone who reads that is :-P) I am at the end of the first three months of my internship. I have to wait to find out if I'll be kept around for another three months. I am still working in the book illustrations for my friend from Dunkin'. I should have them done by the end of this year....and no that's not my normal time frame for getting work done. I've been very pressed for work time and he is a very understanding and supportive client. I want to begin a commission fro my Aunt Barb soon. So much to do in so little time. It's good to be getting back to work. Talk to you soon!
Book illustrations!
Sorry for being away so long. But my job at Dunkin' Donuts has given me an opportunity to illustrate a little book! I'm so excited! It's going slow because I'm working so much but my clients are very understanding. They are so great and they are excited to see what happens.,,,shoot! So am I! I'll be back soon with updates.
One month down. Two to go.
I've been with the Bradford exchange now for a little over a month. I like it so far but I'm frustrated because I don't have a lot of time for anything else. This drive is killing me! But I'll keep going. Plus, I have a plan if I don;t get hired with them :-D
Sign Painting
Right now, a local artist and myself are working on a restaurant sign for a pizza place in my hometown. It's gonna look great!! I wanted to let everyone know about it. Hopefully I'll have pictures and news soon.
Internship!!!
I got the internship! I start July 7th. I will be working with the holiday team. I'm so excited! I can't wait to get to work.
Internship???
I just wanted to tell everyone I am in the process of interviewing for an internship with the Bradford Group. Isn't that exciting? I can't believe it. I'll let you all know what happens in a few days. Wish me luck!!!

Career Day!
This Friday, May 14, I will be participating in a career day at my home town middle school. I was invited by a local artist to help talk about creating art for a living. We will share our experiences and what it was like getting our degrees. I am really excited to share what I am passionate about with these students!
Naperville Art League Show
My fellow graduates, both illustrators and fine artists are involved in an art show taking place at the Naperville Art League located at:
508 N. Center St. Naperville, IL 60563
Ph 630-355-2530 Fax 630-355-3071
The show looks great!!! It was wonderful seeing my art on a gallery wall next to my fellow artists. Check it out! The gallery is beautiful and all the art is worth seeing. My friends did a wonderful job setting it up. If you couldn't make it out for the opening try and make it this week. The show runs until May 23rd. Thank you for all of your support.
P.S.
Mine is "The Ladies"...just so you know. ;-P
